Hi, I’m Amy.

I qualified as a paediatric nurse in 2001 and have worked in the NHS for over twenty years. During that time, I have worked within many areas of New-born and child health including Intensive Care, surgery, emergency transfers and stabilisation. In the last few years of my career, I concentrated on education and staff development and training including the creation of a simulation programme improving the standard and quality of care delivered. I am also a fully qualified First Aid Instructor and now work for Cheshire First Aid training delivering many different courses including Paediatric and Family First Aid.

Cheshire First Aid delivers Family First Aid sessions that are fun, educational and are designed with the whole family in mind. Our three-hour sessions are based in our training room at Blakemere, or private group sessions can be performed in the home. The aim of the sessions is to give anyone looking after babies and young children the skills needed to save a life. The ability to recognise and treat common ailments makes so much sense.

Who are these classes for?

Our sessions are perfect for anyone who would love to learn basic first aid and emergency life saving skills. Whether you are an expectant parent, parent, grandparent, babysitter or carer, this training can benefit everyone. It will provide you with the ability to be there when you are needed the most.
