About Me:

Hi, my name is Sarah, I’m a mum of two boys, wife and yoga teacher. I started practising yoga over 20 years ago and yoga really helped me through both of my pregnancies. It was a fantastic aid for the journey of labour and birth and through the postnatal period where I discovered yoga for parents and babies. I began teaching in 2013 because I wanted to pass on to others the benefits I had gained from making yoga a part of my own life. I am qualified with Birthlight, To Baby and Beyond and am a Yoga Alliance 200 hour teacher with many further teaching qualifications from meditation to restorative yoga.

What I do:

I teach pregnancy yoga, yoga classes for parents and babies with a specific focus on postnatal recovery for mum, and baby massage, as well as regular yoga classes and meditation.

My classes are a safe space, welcoming a community of expecting or new parents to come together to celebrate their growing babies, to connect and share experiences, and learn useful techniques to support them through this magical time. No previous yoga experience is needed.

My Pregnancy classes enable mums-to-be to take some time out each week to focus on themselves and also connect with their baby/ies. Classes are a place to come to relax, unwind, meet other pregnant ladies and to learn how to use yoga both to bring a balance of release and relaxation, and strength and stamina, to the body, and also the mind, in preparation for labour, birth and motherhood.

I am passionate about the benefits that Mum and Baby Yoga can bring to babies and parents. My classes bring some useful ways to support life with a baby, whether that’s different ways to hold and carry your baby, fun rhymes and gentle baby yoga movements where you can share a smile or laugh with your baby, or relaxation techniques you can use at any time for a bit of calmness in a busy day. I design classes specifically for new mums to bring your body gently back to alignment, closing those overworked areas after pregnancy and birth, and supporting your journey in recovering strength and tone in a safe yet challenging way. Dads and other carers are very welcome.

My Baby Massage classes are designed so that parents can learn a head to toe Baby Massage routine which promotes loving touch and builds confidence in handling, understanding and bonding with your baby. In addition classes include gentle yoga movement, stretches, breath and pelvic floor work to help new mums to ease out tensions, and relax. This is great for dads too!
